Timberlakes Log Cabin Part 1

Last year we worked on this Satterwhite Log Home up near Heber, Utah called Timberlakes. Jerome Black basically built this log cabin with his bare hands. Here are some timeline photos of the log cabin being constructed.

Biesigner Modern Home Part 1

We were lucky enough to get involved with this project back in April of 2009 with the help of the contractor, Davido. The modern home is located in Salt Lake City and was designed by Kenner and Matt over at Architectural Nexus. It has been a fun project with some unique shear issues and cantilever designs. These are the most recent pictures of the project and we will post the finished product in the near future.

The front of the home has a two story living space with a large concrete fireplace. With the limited amount of wood framing at the front of the home, we used the fireplace as a concrete shear pier.

Utah Valley Parade of Homes - Home #16

This year in the Utah Valley Parade of Homes there were 4 homes shown that we had structurally engineered. One of the homes shown was House #16 built by Utah Heritage Builders and designed by CD Designs. The homes is built on a very scenic lot in the hills of Provo. Larsen Lot #2 at Sundance

Here is another great project located at Sundance, Utah near the Lot #17 home also designed by Insdie/Outside. Once again, Havencrest was the builder on this project.
This home had a very extensive stick roof system throughout with some prefab trusses.

We provided engineering for this project up past the Sundace Ski Resort in Utah. The plans were drawn up by Inside/Outside and the builder is Havencrest.
There are some interesting retaining wall designs we provided for the structure as the back of the home is sunk into the side of a hill.
These are some pictures of the current construction of the retaining walls and foundations for the home.

Saratoga Springs Lots #132 and #133

Saratoga Springs is a community located on the west side of Utah Lake. We provided engineering for Lots #132 and #133 in Saratoga Springs for Vernon Merrill Builders. You can see Utah Lake in the background of some of the pictures.

Christmas Party

We went to The Canyons ski resort on Friday December 14th as a company to celebrate the Holiday Season. After skiing all day we convened at the Snake Creek Grill in Heber for a tasty dinner. The couples all stayed overnight at the Johnson Mill located in Midway, UT.
Everyone agreed it was the best Redwood Engineering Christmas Party yet.

Terry Mott Remodel

Legacy Home Design provided the architectural plans for this large remodel project in Provo, UT. A large two story great room was created with a very extensive addition around the existing portions of the home.

Masterpiece Builders Lot #24

Here is a project built by Masterpiece Builders where we provided the structural engineering. The home is being built in Pleasant Grove with a main floor square footage of 2880. Joe Carrick Design designed the home plan for the builder.

We donated our structural engineering services to the Recreation and Habilitation Services (RAH) in Provo, Utah. A lot of various professionals donated their time for the non-profit organization and we were excited about being a part of the project.
