Timberlakes Log Cabin Part 1

Last year we worked on this Satterwhite Log Home up near Heber, Utah called Timberlakes. Jerome Black basically built this log cabin with his bare hands. Here are some timeline photos of the log cabin being constructed.

Biesigner Modern Home Part 1

We were lucky enough to get involved with this project back in April of 2009 with the help of the contractor, Davido. The modern home is located in Salt Lake City and was designed by Kenner and Matt over at Architectural Nexus. It has been a fun project with some unique shear issues and cantilever designs. These are the most recent pictures of the project and we will post the finished product in the near future.

The front of the home has a two story living space with a large concrete fireplace. With the limited amount of wood framing at the front of the home, we used the fireplace as a concrete shear pier.

Utah Valley Parade of Homes - Home #16

This year in the Utah Valley Parade of Homes there were 4 homes shown that we had structurally engineered. One of the homes shown was House #16 built by Utah Heritage Builders and designed by CD Designs. The homes is built on a very scenic lot in the hills of Provo.
